Filipino Mahjong Online ("the App", "we", "us") is a free-to-play Filipino Mahjong game for web, iOS, and Android. These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use the App. By playing, you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
The App is a general-audience game and is not directed to children under 13. By using the App you confirm you are at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the App only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
You can play without signing in. Your link to that progress lives on your device, so clearing your app data, uninstalling, or switching devices loses your access to it — we cannot restore it, because without an account there is nothing tying it to you. Records of finished online rounds are still kept on our servers; our Privacy Policy explains what they contain.
You may optionally create an account by signing in with Google, Apple, Facebook, or a code sent to your email address. Accounts save your play history and profile so they follow you across devices.
The App is for entertainment only. Points, scores, and any in-game totals are part of the game and have no monetary value. Specifically:
What players agree to do among themselves outside the App is between them, and is not our responsibility. Do not use the App to organize real-money games.
Games can include computer-controlled players — a host can add them, and one takes over if someone disconnects — but most of the people at your table are real. When you play, you agree not to:

You choose your own display name, and it is visible to the other players in your game. You are responsible for what you submit — display names, feedback, and any other content. We may change or reset a display name that breaks the rules above, and we may remove content or end a game session where necessary.
The App is provided free of charge, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it, including game rules, scoring, features, and optional house rules. We may run experimental features for some players and withdraw them at any time. We do not promise the App will be available without interruption — servers restart, deploys happen, and networks fail.
We may suspend or terminate access to the App, or to a specific account, if these terms are broken or where necessary to protect other players or the service. You may stop using the App at any time, and you may delete your account from the profile screen.
Deleting your account marks it deleted, removes your display name and avatar, and blocks sign-in to it. Records of rounds you played are kept in anonymized form. Our Privacy Policy describes exactly what happens.
The App — including its code, artwork, tile designs, sounds, and name — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App to play the game. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the App or its assets, except where the law says you can.
The game of Mahjong itself, and the Filipino rules the App implements, are not owned by anyone — only our particular implementation and presentation of them are.
The App relies on services we do not control: sign-in providers (Google, Apple, Facebook), the app stores you download from, our hosting and analytics providers, and, on the web version only, advertising served by Google. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Details of what data is involved are in our Privacy Policy.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or that any defect will be corrected. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, game progress, points, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the App. Because the App is provided free of charge, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you have paid us for it, which is zero.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
We may update these terms as the App changes. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated terms.
